Greg Olsen will reportedly remain at Fox for the 2024 NFL season, although he won’t be making as much money as he did last season.

Ryan Glasspiegel z New York Post Office announced Tuesday that Olsen will be the network’s No. 2 NFL analyst and has teamed up with play-by-play announcer Joe Davis. While Olsen worked with Kevin Burkhardt on the network’s top team last season, legendary quarterback Tom Brady joins the team and takes over the position this year.

In February, Andrew Marchand of New York Post Office reported that Olsen’s salary would drop from $10 million to $3 million with his drop from the No. 1 team to the No. 2 team.

Although Olsen has worked primarily with Burkhardt and they even co-hosted Super Bowl LVII, he knows Davis.

They formed a partnership when Burkhardt moved to MLB during the baseball playoffs, and now they will have many opportunities to work together following this development.

There have been questions about whether Olsen will remain at Fox after Brady joins, especially given the pay cut.

In January, he told The Athletic’s Joseph Person and Richard Deitsch that he planned to explore “a whole spectrum of opportunities” with Fox and other networks, even though he appreciated the opportunity he initially received as a broadcaster.

“Fox (decision makers) believed in me from the beginning,” he said. “They gave me the first opportunity to do it when I was still playing in 2017, during the bye week. No one was as adamant about my future in this business as Fox. I will always be grateful for that.”

After this development, his future in the industry will remain with Fox, although it’s impossible not to be overshadowed when the greatest footballer of all time joins our network.

After all, Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion and three-time MVP who is changing his career in the television industry. This will be a reunion while he’s in the announcement booth, and it’s no surprise that Fox is putting him front and center in its first season.

Fox has already revealed that his first game will be between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns:

However, Olsen also remains in the net after gaining critical experience with the No. 1 team while Fox waited for Brady.
